The PAYG model, while flexible, often creates challenges for both customers and IT providers:

  • Limited Preventative Support
    PAYG operates reactively—problems are addressed only when they occur. This approach doesn’t include proactive maintenance, which is key to preventing costly downtime and disruptions.
  • Inefficiencies for Both Parties
    PAYG customers may face delays as we prioritise businesses on proactive care plans. For IT providers, the irregularity of PAYG requests strains resources, leading to inefficiencies that affect service quality.

By phasing out PAYG, we’re shifting entirely to proactive care plans that are designed to deliver long-term benefits for your business, including:

What This Means for You

While we will fully retire PAYG by the end of 2025, changes will begin in February 2025. PAYG will remain available only for emergencies, and its pricing will increase to reflect the administrative overhead and operational impact of ad-hoc support:

  • PAYG with Direct Debit on file: £150/hour.
  • PAYG without Direct Debit: £200/hour.

This is our first price adjustment in over 14 years, during which time inflation has risen by over 50%. Without this adjustment, we risk compromising the quality and dependability of the services your business relies on.
