TightVNC and NOD32

After the virus signature database update on 25th April NOD32 started to detect TightVNC (usually at c:\Program Files\TightVNC\WinVNC.exe) and an associated .dll as a threat.

By way of a solution disable 'Potentially Dangerous Applications' in the NOD32 Control Center under AMON > Setup > Options

There is a Flash demonstration for it here - Show Me

Loss of Pass Phrase

When you enter a passphrase into the wireless setup it generates a WEP key from it, it then seems to lose all trace of the passphrase, leaving you with only the WEP key . This has caused problems for connecting people twice now as the passphrase does not seem to work anymore, you have to use the WEP key.

Seems a bit pointless to have the passphrase in the first place, but there you go.
